Safaricom Jazz all Kenyan edition has come and gone and what a show it was! Everyone brought their A game and I must say it was an afternoon well spent. Here is the story in pictures. For even more photos of the concert, have a look at Gallery Michael Khateli’s site.

Kavutha Mwanzia – She’s the Safaricom International Jazz Music Director and she has quite the voice too! For some reason this was the first time I was seeing Kavutha on stage. Loved her!

Edward Parseen of the Different Faces Band. I fell in love with Edward the first time I saw him perform. He’s very very good on the Sax and his jazz has quite the African feel to it.

Gogo Simo. His energy on stage is infectious! And I love his guitar.

Gogo Simo and his band perform with Chris Bittok.

Jacob Asiyo on his Keyboard.

Saxophonist Samuel Laka Nyaga of Shamsi Music

Matilda – Vocalist from the Mwai and the Truth Band.

Juma Tutu of Swahili Jazz Band performs alongside Gogo Simo

DJ Delight on the decks.

Afro Sync Band

Ghetto Classics performing. I love how they’ve come of age!

Bob Collymore – Safaricom CEO and also Safaricom International Jazz Festival founder. All proceeds of the festival go to support Ghetto Classics.
