On 1st of this month, lady luck smiled on business woman Millicent Nyamancha Kwamboka in the form of a lottery win of Ksh.20,294,296/-. This makes Millicent the first person to win a Pambazuka National Lottery prize after correctly matching 6 numbers in a live draw. This was the first time the soft spoken mother of one was playing the lottery.

Millicent who was overwhelmed with joy said that the windfall has given her hope for a better future for her and her daughter. She is not in a hurry to spend the money, rather preferring to seek advise from experts and investors on how best to spend it.

Pambazuka National Lottery Head of Marketing, Christine Mwaura, congratulated the winner and was elated to see the 1st draw jackpot amount that has been growing from the original Kshs. 10,000,000 finally won, especially through an SMS ticket.

“At Pambazuka National Lottery, Our Mission is to help Kenyans empower each other through a world class and responsible lottery. We endeavor to transform our winners lives and those of the community we operate in. For every ticket bought, a percentage goes towards social good deeds’’ said Mwaura.
