The bloggers camp that was planned for 12th to 14th December this year has been postponed. Bloggers association postponed the camp due to requests from the blogging community, many of who have prior family arrangements on that very weekend. Below is the statement released by the Bloggers Association of Kenya.
“Due to the requests from the blogging community, we have decided to postpone the blogging camp that was to be held on 12th – 14th December at Cray Fish Camp in Naivasha. The camp has been moved to 11th-12th September 2015.
The camp was to bring together bloggers for some training and networking. It was a chance to share blogging tips and technical skills with bloggers and social media enthusiasts. We have received numerous requests from our members and the blogging community for a change of date for the camp that they could attend and get to learn from the experience.
We understand the weekend we had picked out has already been planned for family activities. It is with this in mind that we have heeded the calls to pick a different date and the camp now moves to September 2015. The idea for this date was arrived at to give the blogging community a chance to plan well in advance so we can have everyone join us.
We will be refunding all those who had already paid for the camp. The blog camp may not have seen fruition this year, but we remain determined to bring together the community. We are one family and the camp would not have been successful without all of you present.
We apologize for the inconvenience the postponement has caused and urge you to join us next year. We look forward to hosting you at the first annual camp in September 2015!”
