Making and selling devices is one thing while building and nurturing relationships with customers is another. This building and nurturing of relationships can ensure that manufacturers of any device have a growing customer base that is hooked to them for as long as they’re making good devices.

It is with this in mind that Huawei has opened service centres around the country so that their customers have a reliable place to go for after care services. Earlier this year, Huawei commissioned two service centres, one in Nairobi and one in Mombasa. Late last week they opened another one in Nakuru town to take care of their customers from the Rift valley region. The centre will serve customers with software related issues as well as handle any other challenges that customers may have. Through such centres, customers will be more empowered about the Huawei Mobile line of devices and believe in the company’s innovation journey.

“The standards for customer service in the mobile device business are higher now”, says Humphrey Mokono, Western Region Head, Huawei Mobile. “Our customers expect immediate help and it’s our job to advise them in regard to how they can manage our devices, handle their warranties and software improvements. Setting up this center will help customers connect with the customer service representatives for a personalized service, at the end, this encourages repeat purchases and a long term relationship”.
