As Safaricom endeavours to expand its regional presence and enhance customer experience, the Agricultural town of Kitale has benefited from this as a newly refurbished shop was opened in Kitale town.
The shop is located at Yes Plaza and will offer residents of Kitale and the broader Trans Nzoia County access to all Safaricom services, including a wide range of 3G and 4G devices.
The shop has been in existence for the last nine years hence serving the town for close to a decade. This is no small fete. As the population continues to grow, Safaricom has seen the need to expand and refurbish the shop to make it more accommodating to the new customers and the services offered today as well as maintain the same standards of goods and services that are offered. The shop will offer services at a customer friendly environment as well as respond to customer queries from the grassroots much quicker. Kitale residents will no longer have to travel to neighbouring towns, even as far as Nairobi, to seek basic services.
While commenting on the launch, James Maitai, Head of Regional Sales, Rift Valley Region said, “This new shop will act as a hub for residents of Kitale and its environs, enabling customers to get the best of what we offer. Customers can now enjoy a wide range of our products and services some of which are on offer in the ongoing Mambo Ni Digital campaign. Our aim is to continue expanding our network through the roll out of new sites as we increase customer delivery channels.”
The Rift Region as well as other parts of the country continue to benefit from Safaricom customer care desks. These desks complement their service delivery already offered in their shops to enable customers have access to quick services while reducing customer carrying capacity in the shops.
As part of their regional strategy plan, Safaricom has so far opened 46 shops countrywide in a bid to expand its services to the regions allowing customers to access and enjoy services from wherever they are across the country.
Safaricom also continues to closely engage with customers at a local level through various initiatives targeting its various customer segments.
