Kenya Healthcare Federation collaborates with Medic East Africa for a pre-networking event at the exhibition

Medic East Africa in partnership with The Kenya Healthcare Federation, held an interactive engagement event with professionals and stakeholders in the healthcare industry on Tuesday 25th July.

The event had representation from the Government, private, and NGO sectors offering an opportunity for professionals to network, in the build-up to the Medic East Africa Exhibition and Congress that is due to be held from 11-13 September at the KICC in Nairobi.

The Government reiterated its support for Public-Private Partnerships in the healthcare sector to strengthen healthcare systems with Dr Joseph Lenai, OGW – Director of Preventive and Promotive Health Services in the Ministry of Health adding that, “The Government of Kenya is committed to prioritising accessible healthcare in Kenya with health being one of our key priorities.”

The Kenya Healthcare Federation reaffirmed its commitment to being a united body in bringing together different voices in healthcare and championing the interests of health in the East African region. Dr Kanyenje Gakombe, Chairman – of the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) remarked, “The very structure of our healthcare system in Kenya is a Public Private Sector partnership with non-state actors at the different value chains be it in vaccination, COVID-19 response, manufacturing or service provision.”

Tom Coleman, Exhibitions Director of Medic East Africa stated, “This year we will have over 5,000 visitors and over 200 exhibitors from all over the world, marking the start of great things to come in the future.” Informa Markets appreciates the support from the Ministry of Health and the Kenya Healthcare Federation for the immense support and collaboration in making the exhibition a success.

The Medic East Africa Exhibition and Congress will take place on 11 – 13 September 2023 at the KICC Nairobi under the theme “Redefining healthcare delivery in East Africa”, bringing together key decision makers with global equipment manufacturers and service providers and distributors with over 200 confirmed International Exhibitors from 200+countries. 

The free-to-attend event will be a trading and knowledge-sharing platform for industry professionals to promote interaction and trade amongst doctors, C-level management from hospitals, leading manufacturers, key government professionals, investors, dealers, and distributors.

Medic East Africa and Medlab East Africa 2023 is free to attend for healthcare and laboratory professionals and investors across the East African region with a keen interest in healthcare delivery.
