In the recent gala award ceremony held in Dubai for the World Travel Awards (the Oscars of the travel industry) the Malindi resort has won the Best Bou7que Resort in Africa for 2023, an award it had already won in 2022, its first year aTer reopening as a hotel for the general public. The property, which is owned by celebrity global entrepreneur Flavio Briatore is managed by Babylon Hospitality that has recently incorporated a Nairobi office and team. The recent reconversion of the Billionaire Resort is yet another step of requalifying the coast of Kilifi which has taken the form of a public-private ini7a7ve known as the Kenyan Riviera.
