PGK Equator Tour Safaricom Support boosts four golfers as Sigona hosts key qualifier toward Olympics and Kenya Open.
Safaricom PLC continues its support for the PGK Equator Tour this week as it heads into its seventh leg at Sigona Golf Club, backing four top professional golfers who include, Samuel Njoroge, Mutahi Kibugu, Mohit Mediratta, and Matthew Wahome.
The seventh leg of the tour will feature over 35 professionals competing for spots in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Samuel Njoroge, fresh off his victory at the sixth leg in Diani, is expected to be a strong contender. Mohit Mediratta is also poised for a standout performance at his home club

From the first leg at Ruiru Sports Club, Safaricom has provided resources and support that empower players to shine both locally and internationally.
Speaking on his preparations, Mohit Mediratta expressed optimism.
“Playing at Sigona, my home club, gives me a unique advantage, I know the grounds very well. With Safaricom’s support, I have been able to train consistently and focus on fine tuning my game. I am delighted and ready to compete at the highest level”
This tour also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Magical Kenya Open and the 2028 Olympics, with players striving for crucial world ranking points to secure their places.
