Family Bank Utawala relocation to Mustard Seed Plaza enhances SME access, customer convenience, services, and community growth

Family Bank has relocated its Utawala Branch to Mustard Seed Plaza, marking the fifth branch relocation under the Bank’s ongoing branch optimisation strategy aimed at enhancing customer convenience and accessibility.

The relocation is part of the Bank’s broader strategy to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by optimising its branch network and positioning outlets closer to customers in high-traffic and high-growth areas. This approach enables the Bank to deliver a modern, accessible, efficient, and customer-centric banking experience.

“Over the last year, and in line with our five-year strategy, we have undertaken several branch relocations across the country to ensure our physical network continues to reflect our customers’ evolving needs. The relocation of the Utawala Branch is a continuation of this deliberate strategy to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and overall customer experience,” said Family Bank Chief Executive Officer, Nancy Njau.

The Utawala relocation follows similar branch relocations in Eldoret West, Kangemi, Kisii, and Ngara.

“Through strategic investment in the local business community, we aim to support the ambitions and growth aspirations of the Utawala business community, contributing meaningfully to Utawala’s economic development,” she added.

The new branch location offers a modern banking experience with financial solutions tailored for individuals, SMEs, and businesses, including innovative loan products targeting women and youth-led businesses, digital banking services, more personalized financial guidance, and face-to-face interactions with the Bank’s staff.
